In collaboration with the North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services (NCDHHS), the Governor’s Institute connects pregnant women and women with dependent children affected by substance use disorders to services and resources across North Carolina.

Admission Preference: In accordance with 45 CFR §96.131 Treatment Services for Pregnant Women of the Substance Use Prevention, Treatment & Recovery Services Block Grant (SUPTRS), pregnant women are given preference in admission to programs/facilities supported by these funds. Priority admission is as follows: (1) Pregnant women using substances intravenously, (2) Pregnant women with a substance use disorder, (3) individuals using substances intravenously, (4) All others.

North Carolina Pregnancy & Opioid Exposure Project

The North Carolina Provider Education Program (NCPOEP) equips healthcare professionals with evidence-based education and clinical resources to improve the prevention, identification, and treatment of substance use disorders.

Proof Alliance NC

Proof Alliance North Carolina provides education, support, and resources to prevent fetal alcohol spectrum disorders (FASD) while improving the lives of individuals and families affected by prenatal alcohol exposure.
