The Governor’s Institute, through the Division of Mental Health, Developmental Disabilities and Substance Abuse Services, will fund limited and approved requests for continuing education in effort to further enhance knowledge, skills, and abilities of treatment providers for individuals seeking recovery from substance use disorders. Funds must be utilized in accordance with state policies and directed to the entity that is responsible for coursework delivery. Unused funds must be returned to the Governor’s Institute on Substance Abuse by September 30, 2019. Scholarship recipients will be chosen based on merit and need, on a first come, first served basis. Students with a need for substance abuse specific credit hours (individuals with a CSAC; LCAS; or CCS) take priority.
Requests over $300 require a letter of recommendation from a current/former supervisor or professor emailed directly to Trina Titus firstname.lastname@example.org. You will be notified within 10 business days of acceptance into the Continuing Education Scholarship Program.
