Addiction Medicine Scholarships

The Governor’s Institute offers a limited number of scholarships to attend the Addiction Medicine Conference (Spring) or Addiction Medicine Essentials (Fall). By attending these events, physician, nurse practitioner, or physician associate students or residents, who are training in North Carolina with an interest in Addiction Medicine will have the opportunity to receive up-to-date substance use related education, applicable across general medical as well as addiction specialty practices and learn from the experts during didactic lectures on a wide range of addiction medicine related topics.

ADDICTION MEDICINE ESSENTIALS - FALL 2026

Types of Awards Available

Scholarships are provided by the NC Society of Addiction Medicine and the Governor’s Institute. All scholarships cover registration fees.

Eligibility

You must be a medical, NP or PA student, resident, or fellow in training with an interest in Addiction Medicine to apply. Scholarships will be awarded to attend the full conference.

The Governor’s Institute is offering scholarships to attend the 2027 Addiction Medicine Conference to be held March 19-20, 2026 in Raleigh, NC!

Types of Awards Available

Scholarships are provided by the Dr. Henry Blansfield Addiction Medicine Education Fund, the NC Society of Addiction Medicine, and the Governor’s Institute. All scholarships cover registration fees for the main conference days on Friday and Saturday.

Scholarships are available to physician, nurse practitioner, or physician associate students, residents, or fellows who are interested in Addiction Medicine.
